Part of Investing in the begining is presenting a professional image

We have a Professional Appearance and Environment Standard to ensure consistent experiences for our members and co-workers across the Northwest region.

The average individual makes 11 snap judgments in the first 7 seconds of meeting someone new. Dressing professionally will help ensure that these opinions are positive.

Are our patients opinions positive. Recently we had a patient comment on the dirty shoes of a clinical staff member. What do you think the patients perception of the infection control of the staff member was? Infection control is one of the items that we want our patients to answer positively on the survey they receive. This should be important because we work in the health care field, but remember it also affects your PSP.
And if not for the patient - A tidy workstation is more efficient and less stressful to work than a disorganized workstation.

If you walked into your facility as a member what would you see?
What are two things today to make your facility and department appear clean, well organized and professional. Please share your ideas with the rest of the staff
