During this Holiday Time try to slow dow

I am going to get a little cheesy, hope you will forgive me.

This Holiday Season our church is doing the Advent Conspiracy (started in 2006 by a couple of guys that wanted to use their gift money to provide clean water to 3rd world countries) ........and so I wanted to share what I have been thinking and going to try to practice:

Replace the if only moments with
Remember when moments

Quote from a sermon

Starting with Thanksgiving I want to let those around me know how much I appreciate them. That of course includes my family. Instead of being preoccupied with stuff I really want to stop, slow down and be intentionally in the each moment.

So if you see me too busy or preoccupied,
help me by reminding me that
Life is about relationships not stuff

Quoting from a book I am reading (Simply an Inspired Life, Consciously Choosing Unbonded Happiness in Good times and bad), "You have nowhere you have to go. You have nowhere you must be...except right where you are. Now" I want to be that intentional this Holiday season.

My Quote today:

"Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom"
King David
Our most valuable resource is our time, because it is irreplaceable. Once it's gone we can't obtain any more time. Time has been called the great equalizer, because we are given the 60 minutes.

I choose to spend my time grateful for the relationships I have around me.  And I am grateful for all of you.
